
Picked up a tyre repair kit after hearing a 4X4 influencer make the case for plugging a puncture out bush, then swapping to the spare once you’re back on the tarseal. That sat better with me than carrying two or three spares lashed to the roof — same insurance, less weight, less stuff to find a home for.
Went with ARB on brand reputation and because the kit looked complete: reamer, plug tool, plugs, lubricant, pliers and a step-by-step printed in the lid in case panic erases everything I’ve read.
Haven’t needed it yet. Long may that continue.
